MeECL employees to stage protest

SHILLONG: The Executive Committee of All MeSEB Union and Association Coordination Committee in its meeting on June 15 discussed the issue relating to Revision of Pay, 2010 wef January, 2010. The committee expressed shock in the lack of response from the management despite several attempts made in this regard.

The committee unanimously decided to resort to agitation programmes if the demand for notification and implementation of the Revision of Pay, 2010 is not finalized within July 8. They have decided they will wear black flags and hold a general meeting at 3:00 pm on July 11 followed by pen-down strike on July 12 and mass casual leave on July 15.

The coordination committee also comprises of MeSEB Accounts Association, Association of Power Engineers, Meghalaya Power Workers Union, Meghalaya State Power Employees Union and Board’s Secretariat Employees.
