CRPF jawan killed in accidental grenade explosion

Guwahati: A CRPF jawan was killed and two were injured in an accidental grenade explosion in a barrack at Borbari police station premises in Assam’s Baksa district on Monday night.Reports said the CRPF jawans had entered their barracks after returning from a patrol duty when the grenade slipped from one of them.The grenade exploded instantly, injuring three jawans.They were rushed to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital.However, one of the jawans, Tulendra Das of Nagaon, Assam, succumbed on way to the hospital.(UNI)
