6 hurt in three road mishaps

SHILLONG: Atleast six persons were injured in three different accidents in the State on Friday.

Four people were injured when a Maruti Gypsy (MLO5C – 0879) fell into a gorge at Mawlyndep at around 10.25 am.

The vehicle was on its way to Sutnga, Jaintia Hills from Shillong.

The injured were identified as Arborki Shadap (20), Norbet Nongtdu (50), Daplinmeri Nongtdu (11) and Deiniwonshwa Nongtdu (13).

In another incident, one person identified as Puran Lama (16) sustained injury after he was hit by a moving vehicle at Barapani

Meanwhile, a Maruti 800 (MLO4 – 8489) on its way to Rymbai from Shillong hit a stationary truck (PB11AL 8435) at Sohryngkham. One of the occupants of the car Thehmon Nongtdu (22) was injured in the mishap.
