Four shot dead in Pakistan wedding

Islamabad: At least four people were killed and eight injured in a gun fight at a wedding in Pakistan on Friday night, police said.

The incident took place in Kalat town in Balochistan province, Geo News reported Saturday.

Police officials said four unidentified people opened fire at the wedding ceremony, killing four people on the spot. (IANS)

Swiss couple kidnapped in Pakistan

Islamabad: A couple from Switzerland was abducted while they were travelling in Pakistan’s Balochistan province, a police official said.

Ocholivier David and his wife Wipmerderielayy Omer were kidnapped by gunmen while travelling in Loralai district on Friday. Ghulam Ali Lashari, a police official, said that the gunmen, who were in a car, intercepted the vehicle carrying the Swiss couple. The Swiss couple had entered Loralai district from Dera Ghazi Khan.

Before entering the district, they had got themselves registered as tourists from Switzerland at a police checkpost. (IANS)
