Pyngrope to attend national convention on HIV/AIDS By Our Reporter

SHILLONG: Meghalaya Speaker Charles Pyngrope will attend the national convention on HIV and AIDS at New Delhi on July 4 and 5. the convention is organised by the Forum of Parliamentarians on HIV and AIDS (FPA).

The speaker is also the president of the Meghalaya Legislators Forum on HIV and AIDS (MLFA).

The national convention will be inaugurated by the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and the keynote address will be delivered by UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi.

During the two day convention, various issues pertaining to stigma and discrimination faced by the HIV/AIDS patients would be discussed.
