The General Administration Department (B) has informed that R Kamtre of Jaintia Hills has won the first prize in the contest for the design of Meghalaya State emblem, while second prize has gone to Anup Das Gupta of Arunachal Pradesh. The third prize has been won by Sanghamitra Shah of Kolkata. In an official release, the winners are requested to contact the Under Secretary, GAD, Meghalaya.

The SP, South Garo Hills, has informed that two persons — Deepak Chettri and Komal Porel — are wanted in connection with a number cases in Baghmara PS. In a release, the SP has requested the general public who have any information about these two persons to contact the Baghmara police station (036339-234222).
