Suspension of operations with DHD extended

NEW DELHI:The Suspension of Operations agreement between the government and Assam’s insurgent outfit Dima Halam Daogah (DHD) has been extended by six months.

This was decided at a meeting among representatives of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Assam Government and the DHD.

Suspension of operations will continue till December 31, an official release said.

The government has been engaging DHD in finding an amicable solution to the demands of the insurgent group which is active in Assam’s erstwhile North Cachar hill district.(PTI)
