SHILLONG: Installation ceremony of the Rotary Club of Shillong was held on Thursday. Mawprem MLA Manas Chaudhuri attendedthe programme as chief guest.
The outgoing president Dr Debashish Das, who gave a brief account of the Club’s achievements during the Rotary Year 2010-2011, handed over the reins of the club to Dr Jyotsna Puri.
The new president in her speech spelt out thrust areas of Rotary International and added that the club would meet all challenges that lie ahead in service of the community.
The Club will launch a tree plantation drive on Saturday in Shillong.
