Concern over rise in drug abuse

 JOWAI: The Jaintia Youth Welfare Organization (AJYWO) has expressed concern over rise in number of drugs users and cases of trafficking in the coal-rich district of Meghalaya. “In the recent NEIDA reports, Jaintia Hills topped the list and the society as a whole needs to do something to control this”, AJYWO chief MH Dkhar said. He urged the government to take immediate action to control all sorts of illegal activities such as drug trafficking, gambling etc.
