The FKJGP will hold its central executive committee (CEC) meeting on Tuesday. Informing this on Monday, FKJGP general secretary Jo Marwein said the meeting would discuss various issues like the increase on the motor vehicle tax and Meghalaya Community Participation Bill.

The Bethany Hospital, Shillong on Saturday organised a CME on recent advances in Gastroenterology at NEC auditorium. Eminent national faculty Professor Gourdas Choudhuri from Sanjay Gandhi post graduate institute, Lucknow, Prof. BK Agarwal, Dr.BD Goswami, Dr.S Dutta from Guwahati Medical College Hospital deliberated on common gastro-related problems.
Entrance exam
The Rashtriya Indian Millitary College, Dehradun will conduct an entrance examination for admission to class VIII for 2012 at selected centres on December 1 and 2, 2011. Applications will be accepted on or before September 30, 2011.
Defence course
A three-day Defence financial management course for officers of Eastern Air Command and various units under it was conducted at the Eastern Air Command headquarters here. The course was inaugurated by Air Marshal KK Nohwar, Air Officer Commanding in Chief, Headquarters Eastern Air Command, Shillong.
