JOWAI: Along with the rest of the world, the World Population Day was observed here on the theme, ‘Small family, overall development’ on Monday. The observation will culminate on July 24. The main aim of the programme is to create an awareness on importance of family planning, maternal health, gender equality, poverty and human rights. The Parliamentary Secretary in charge Border Area Devp, L Rymbai, attended the function as the chief guest.
