SHILLONG: The newly-appointed State Chief Information Commissioner (SCIM) CD Kynjing will be holding the first hearing on several RTI complaints on July 25.

Informing this here on Wednesday, Kynjing said, “I have listed five complaints for the first hearing”.

Replying to a query, he said there were 11 complaints presently pending before the Commission and added that there were also four pending appeal cases.

When asked about the type of complaints which he had received, the newly-appointed SCIC said in most of them people have complained against the Public Information Officer (PIO) who failed to satisfy them by providing necessary information. He also found that one person has filed five separate complaints.
