Los Angeles: Actress Isla Fisher is no stranger to jetting around the world but says she is very scared of flying. Recently, the 35-year-old actress was allowed to sit in the cockpit on a Virgin America flight to New York as she was too nervous to sit on the seat given to her, reported Contactmusic. The Australian actress who moved from her native country to America, where she lives with husband Sacha Baron Cohen and their two daughters, met the pilot to get an assurance that everything will go well. Before taking to her seat Fisher had a thorough look around the plane. She met with all the staff members and was only too happy to pose for pictures with them. “I just met the pilots. They’re really nice. I always feel better when I meet the pilots,” she said. (PTI)

Danielle Lloyd becomes mom again

London: Model Danielle Lloyd has given birth to her second son. The 27-year-old went into labour ten weeks early and gave birth to a baby boy weighing 4lb 40z, reported Contactmusic. “Danielle has delivered our baby this morning 4lb 4oz, ten weeks early. Baby and Dan are ok just letting the hospital look after him,” Jamie O’ Hara, Lloyd’s fiance tweeted. Lloyd recently posed in the nude showing off her baby bump, recreating the iconic Demi Moore image, for the front cover of Closer magazine. She had then said that a baby bump should not be hidden under baggy maternity clothes but should be shown off, as they are beautiful. The former Miss Liverpool added that she plans to get back into shape post-pregnancy by hiring a personal trainer and attending the gym. This is the couple’ s second son. They recently celebrated the first birthday of son Archie. (PTI)

Rowling’s childhood home for sale

London: Harry Potter author JK Rowling’s “Hogwarts-like” childhood home has been put on the market for USD 640,000 million. The 45-year-old writer lived in Church Cottage in Tutshill, England from 1974 to 1984, before leaving to study at the University of Exeter, Contactmusic reported. Current owner Julian Mercer, who purchased the property from the Rowling family in 1995, said the house is a lovely cottage. It is quite small but has wonderful architecture and a gorgeous garden surrounding it. “Rowling would have been here in her formative years and could have taken inspiration from the cottage. The architecture is very Hogwarts-like. It has vaulted ceilings, stone windows and oozes gothic spirit. “When we first moved in JK Rowling was not a known name and it was a couple of years later that the Philosopher’s Stone came out,” Mercer said. The cottage also features a cupboard under the stairs which is similar to the one Rowling’s boy wizard was forced to sleep in by his cruel aunt and uncle. (PTI)
