Two UKDA militants surrender

GUWAHATI: Two militants of the United Kukigram Defence Army (UKDA) on Friday surrendered before the army at Diphu in Assam’s Karbi Anglong district. The duo surrendered before senior officials of Five Rajputana Rifles and senior civil and police officials, official sources said here. The surrendered militants have been identified as self-styled Corporal Thenhao Vaiphei and self-styled Lt Paotimang Doungel @ Babu. They also surrendered an AK-56 rifle and a .22 pistol. (PTI)
