Wasnik visits Manipur

IMPHAL:Union Social Justice Minister Mukul Wasnik arrived here on Friday and reviewed the implementation of schemes for differently-abled persons, aged and drug abuse with the state government officials.Mr Wasnik said, while interacting with the officials, that a full fledged commissioner should look after the welfare of the differently-abled persons. Social welfare Director G Saityabati said in Manipur there were about 13,470 disable persons of them 385 were getting scholarship.Wasnik directed the officials to look after the disabled persons and attend to their problems well.Mr Wasnik will also interact with officials on Saturday.
