JSU seeks people’s cooperation in office picketing

JOWAI: The joint call for a two-day office picketing in protest against the new revised taxation on motor vehicles by NGOs including the Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) and the Jaintia Students’ Union (JSU) will be effective in Jaintia Hills district also, a JSU statement issued here on Sunday said. The JSU has urged all local taxi owners, buses and other passenger vehicles and also all government employees to support the proposed office picketing.
