Shillong: The Muslim community in Shillong and other areas of the State observed the Shab-e-Baraat on Sunday. As part of the occasion, the Muslim faithful thronged graveyards and mosques at night to pray for the dead. Special prayers were held throughout the night to mark the festival known as a night of worship and salvation.
