SHILLONG: The Shillong Golfers Association (SGA) organized a Golf Tournament at the Shillong Golf Course (SGC) on the occasion of 176th death anniversary of freedom fighter, U Tirot Sing Syiem on July 17.
Around 70 avid army and civilian golfers from the city participated in the tournament the prizes for which were given away by Bindo M Lanong, Deputy Chief Minister, Sports and Youth Affairs, Meghalaya.
The SGC is a 18 hole golf course and is equated with the “Gleneagles Course” in USA.
The Golf Secretary informed that there are a number of golf tournaments lined up to be held in the SGC.
