Helena Bonham Carter in talks for The Lone Ranger

Los Angeles: Actress Helena Bonham Carter is in talks to work with actor Johnny Depp in Disney’s The Lone Ranger.

Depp will play Tonto opposite Armie Hammer’s Lone Ranger in the movie directed by Gore Verbinski. If the deal clicks, Carter will play the madam of a brothel who deals with both gentlemen and scoundrels, reports hollywood reporter.com.

Other actors in talks to join the cast are Dwight Yoakam and Barry Pepper.

Tom Wilkinson is already fianlised to play a railroad tycoon with dubious intentions. The shooting for the film will start mid-October in Texas and New Mexico. (IANS)

Presley turned into comic book character

Los Angeles: Singer Elvis Presley has been immortalised into a comic book character.

The comic book will be called Graphic Elvis. It’s a limited edition comic created by Liquid Comics and Elvis Presley Enterprises to commemorate the 35th death anniversary of the singer.

“Comics influenced so much of his life,” contactmusic.com quoted Sharad Devarajan, the co-founder of Los Angeles-based Liquid Comics, as saying.

A number of Presley’s handwritten notes, rarely seen by the public, will also be included in the cartoon creation. The book will hit the market in December. (IANS)

Nicolas Cage’s son arrested again for domestic violence

Los Angeles: Nicolas Cage’s son Weston has been arrested again for domestic violence against his wife Nikki.

The 21-year-old heavy metal musician was picked up by Los Angeles Police on Wenesday morning and immediately taken to a local hospital for self inflicted cuts.

He was then transported to a police station where he is still being held on USD 50,000 bail, TMZ reported Weston’s wife Nikki, who is four months pregnant, is “safe and away from him,” according to her mother.

He and pregnant Nikki were arrested together on domestic violence charges at the start of the month. (PTI)
