SHILLONG: Most parts of the city went into darkness on Thursday evening following disruption in electricity supply. Residents of Nongthymmai and other areas complained that the electricity went off at 6:30 pm and was not restored till late night. When contacted, MeECL officials said a tree fell on a power line at Lachaumiere, disrupting the power supply in the city.
