Legal literacy
The Meghalaya State Legal Services Authority (MSLSA), Shillong in collaboration with the district administration of West Garo Hills organised legal literacy classes at Tura district jail, Tura for its inmates. Additional district magistrate VK Mantri attended the function as the chief guest. Various legal topics such as legal aid, adalat, plea, bargaining, FIR, bail and rights of prisoners were discussed.
Meeting
The State Health Department will hold a state-level advocacy meeting on World Population Day at Anton Hall, Laitumkhrah on Saturday wherein Commissioner and Secretary of Health and Family Welfare, DP Wahlang will be present as the chief guest whereas Additional Secretary of Health and Family Welfare, KW Marbaniang will be present as the guest of honour.
