KOKRAJHAR: Noted Gandhian and social activist of Nagaland, Jiketu Iralu on Sunday received the prestigious Upendra Nath Brahma Soldier of Humanity award for the cause of peace in the troubled state of Nagland. Receiving the award, Iralu said the cause of peace in Nagland is essential to the values and methods of struggle and “stability to our homeland”. “The crisis of Bodos, Nagas and other tribes is that of of fighting and can be solved”, Iralu said. The chairman of the UN Brahma trust, Krishna Gopal Basumatary giving away the award said it has been given to Iralu for his outstanding contribution as a peace initiator in Nagaland. (PTI)
