‘I did not steal someone’s husband’

London: Actress Denise Richards says that she is not the reason of American rock guitarist Richie Sambora’s divorce with wife Heather Locklear, insisting he had already filed for divorce before she fell in love with the rocker. Richards found love with the Bon Jovi star in 2006, soon after she ended her marriage to actor Charlie Sheen. “We (her and Sambora) were friends and we were both going through divorces, and that’s what drew us to each other… I did not steal someone’s husband. Did I date a former friend’s ex-husband? Yes. Did I break up a marriage? No,” dailystar.co.uk quoted Richards as saying. “If I was still friends with (Locklear), that never would have happened with Richie. There was no friendship anymore prior to Richie and I getting together,” she added. (IANS)

Evans takes therapy

London: Actor Chris Evans gets therapy treatment which helps him get over his anxieties as he struggles to cope with the pressures of fame. “I struggle with anxiety sometimes, especially when promoting films like this. Just the life of doing what I do, being in the public eye, it’s a stressful environment. So it’s good to go and talk about the things that cause your anxiety,” Evans said. The 30-year-old, who bulked up his muscles for his role as the patriotic superhero in Captain America: The First Avenger says he finds it hard to talk about himself when promoting his movies. “It’s very difficult for me to talk about myself. You feel strange, self-aware, very foolish. Your third eye clicks on, just to try and maintain a healthy sense of perspective and you think, ‘What am I doing here? I’m just making a movie, and people want all these things from me.’ It seems strange to have so much fuss over a film. I’m an incredibly private person,” he said. (IANS)

Cage to star in Frozen Ground

London: Oscar-winning actor Nicolas Cage is to star in new movie Frozen Ground, which follows the story of a notorious serial killer. The 47-year-old will play an Alaska State police official who investigated the murders by notorious serial killer Robert Hansen, reported Contactmusic. Hansen, who got the nickname ‘The Butcher Baker’ was convicted in 1984 after confessing to killing 17 women and raping another 30 in a 12-year span. He received a 461-year sentence and is incarcerated at a state prison in Seward. Filming is scheduled to start in Anchorage, Alaska on October 10. Although it is not clear which official Cage will play, Glenn Flothe was the man who put Hansen behind bars and has previously spoken about how the killer worked. “He tried to make us think that he had some kind of moral code but the reality was that these street girls and the girls in the bars were easier victims,” Flothe said.
