Service
The Catholic Youth League (CYL), Shillong will organise a service-cum-seminar at Sawsymper Parish on July 30 and 31. The service will be held on July 30 at 7pm which will be followed by a seminar on July 31 at 10am onwards.
Office-bearers
The Umpling Dorbar Shnong has elected new office bearers for the year 2011-2014. The office bearers are -Sanwat Fair Pyngrope (Rangbah Shnong), Lewis Jyrwa (secretary), Rodrick C Lyngdoh (development secretary), Hamson Kharwan (Finance secretary).
Award
The KSU’s Upper Shillong unit will give away the “Maitshaphrang Award” to the meritorious students of Upper Shillong area for their achievements in the SSLC, HSSLC, ICSE, CBSE and degree-level examinations. In this regards, the students are required to submit their ST certificates, admit cards and marksheets before August 16.
Condemned
The Executive Committee of the Dorbar Dong Main Upland, Boyce, Hopkinson, Bomfyle Road of Laitumkhrah has condemned the action of one Dr Ricky Vincent Suchiang on the night of July 18. The Dorbar Dong has warned all the outsiders as well as the local residents to refrain from creating any nuisance and trouble in the locality.
