3 dead in Bengal train accidents

Kolkata: At least three passengers were feared killed and many others injured in an accident between Guwahati-Bangalore Express and Ajimganj-Malda Town passenger Malda district of West Bengal on Sunday. The accident occurred when the engine and seven bogies, including the parcel and luggage vans of the Guwahati-Bangalore Express derailed at Bankrapur, between Jamirghata and Gourghata stations under Malda division and infringed on the next line. The Ajimganj-Malda Town Passenger, which was coming from the opposite direction, then hit the engine of the Guwahati-Bangalore Express. (UNI)
