NEW DELHI: Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, who has been indicted for alleged irregularities in the Commonwealth Games contracts, Friday said her government was ready to answer any queries and would cooperate with the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of parliament.

“I assure you that when the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) report goes to PAC, in accordance with established practice, whatever departments are asked to come before the PAC and answer any queries the honourable members of PAC may ask, we will cooperate with them completely and fully,” Dikshit told reporters.

The Delhi cabinet met Friday afternoon to discuss the report on irregularities in the October 2010 Commonwealth Games.

The CAG report, tabled in parliament earlier in the day, is a scathing indictment of the planning of various projects and their implementation. It points a finger of suspicion at Dikshit and the Organising Committee (OC) of the Games headed by the now jailed Suresh Kalmadi. (IANS)
