JOWAI: A twenty-year-old woman committed suicide with her infant daughter by setting herself and her child on fire at their residence on Friday evening. Sources informed that the woman, Liew Chyrmang of Kyndongtuber Pohshnong, smeared herself and her one-year-old daughter with kerosene oil before setting herself on fire. The woman, who suffered 95 per cent burn injury, was admitted to Jowai Civil Hospital in a critical condition, while her daughter succumbed to her injuries on Friday evening. Sources informed that family problem could be the reason behind the suicide.
