THANE (Maharashtra): Stating that the Congress is in a “negative shape”, Bharatiya Janata Party president Nitin Gadkari Sunday said that his party should take advantage of it and strive to get back to power.
“The Congress is totally in a negative shape and the BJP should take advantage of it and should strive to take the power in our hands,” Gadkari said.
Speaking during the valedictory address of the two-day training workshop for BJP legislators organised in Thane city, Gadkari also hinted at the growing rift in the ruling Congress-Nationalist Congress Party alliance in Maharashtra.Gadkari, however, questioned whether the BJP was ready to take over the reins of power. “Are we in a position to take over?” he said.
Pointing to the CAG report on irregularities in the the 2010 Commonwealth Games, Gadkari said more such reports would come out which would result in the fall of the Congress-led UPA government.(PTI)
