Keith Urban’s perfume name inspired by hard times

London: Nicole Kidman’s singer husband Keith Urban says that he decided to call his debut scent ‘Phoenix’ because it is inspired by his battle with addiction. The 43-year-old had checked into rehab to be treated for drug and alcohol abuse, four months after he married Kidman in 2006, reported Contactmusic. “The ‘What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger’ story of the phoenix is something that I think fits really well with a man’s cologne. “Certainly, I can relate very strongly to that, going through hard times and coming out the other end of it much, much stronger for the experience,” Keith said The singer also thinks that naming the perfume after his name would have been a bad idea. “The last thing I want to make a man do is: When someone asks him what he’s wearing is for that poor man to say, ‘I’m wearing Keith Urban. “That just seems really awkward to me. I wanted to allow a man the dignity to respond with something that is a little more appropriate. Not too hoity-toity, not too chic and metro, something that’s got a nice, masculine simplicity to it. I felt Phoenix fit that really well,” he said. (PTI)

Rimes gets wedding vows tattooed

Los Angeles: Newly wed LeAnn Rimes has got a temporary tattoo done of her wedding vows on her ribcage to honour her husband Eddie Cibrian. The 28-year-old, who was previously married to Dean Sheremet, married Eddie Cibrian on April 22, 2011. “You gave me the courage to be truthful. I promise to give you the comfort to be trustful,” the tattoo read. Both Rimes and Cibrian, 38, were married to other people when they first met on the set of Northern Lights in 2008. Later when news of Cibrian and Rimes’ ongoing extramarital affair broke, it lead to a divorce for both with their respective partners. In August 2009 they went public with their romance, Us magazine reported. “I know I didn’t do it the right way, I didn’t have the tools to know how to do it the right way, how to let go the right way,” Rimes had said earlier. Pitt didn’t like chemistry with Kidman

London: Brad Pitt initially pulled out of Mr & Mrs Smith as he felt he had no chemistry with the film’s original female lead Nicole Kidman, a book claims. The 44-year-old Australian actress was cast as the lead which was later played by Angelina Jolie and the 2005 film also marks the beginning of the Pitt-Jolie romance. The film’s producer Arnon Milchan says Pitt, 47, was unhappy that there was no spark with Kidman, reported Sun online. When Milchan cast Jolie, Pitt called back to say he was happy to play Mr to her Mrs, revealed the 66-year-old producer in his recently launched book ‘Confidential: The Life of Secret Agent Turned Hollywood Tycoon’. It was a life-changing decision as Pitt, who was then married to Jennifer Aniston, and Jolie, 36, fell in love. “Jen didn’t believe he was involved. He eventually admitted it. Jen was furious and threw him out,” Milchan said. (PTI)
