Gauhati HC defers hearing of Nagaland Women

Kohima: The Kohima Bench of Gauhati High Court, which heard the writ petition over 33 per cent reservation for women in civic bodies, had fixed September 7 as the next date for hearing. According to sources here on Thursday, during the hearing on Wednesday, Justice A K Goswami, constituting the single bench court, fixed the date for the next hearing after counsel for the Naga Mothers Assocation wanted more time to study the voluminous reply submitted by the state government through its advocate, disclosed NMA president Abei-ü Meru.
