Miscreants set 2 bikes on fire

 SHILLONG: Hours after the HNLC called bandh, unidentified miscreants set two motor cycles on fire at Lower Nongrim Hills on Monday night.

Owner of the one of the motorcycle N Kumar said after hearing some noise he came out of his house and found that his motorcycle was set to fire.

“I immediately informed the police. But by the time the police arrived the motorcycle was totally destroyed,” Kumar added.

According to police, the other motor cycle was parked about a few metres away from the house of Kumar.

In another incident, unidentified miscreants hurled three petrol bombs towards the butcher compound, Lower Mawprem near Garikhana on Sunday night.

According police, the petrol bombs, however, did not explode.

No one has been arrested in this connection.
