London: English skipper Andrew Strauss said the decision over whether pacer James Anderson will play in the fourth Test against India on Thursday will be left until the morning of the match.

According to the Daily Telegraph, Anderson bowled for around 25 minutes during England’s practice session at The Oval before indulging in some sprint training on the outfield.

Strauss said he was “very optimistic” that he would be fit for the match.

England called up Durham seamer Graham Onions as cover after Anderson reported stiffness in his right leg. (UNI)
