Dhaka: Bangladeshi security forces today arrested chief of banned militant outfit Harkat-ul-Jihad al-Islami (Huji) Moulana Yahiya along with his two accomplices from central Kishorganj district. “We have arrested him (Yahiya) this morning,” elite anti-crime Rapid Action Battalion’s intelligence wing chief Lt Colonel Ziaul Ahsan told PTI. He said the three were arrested intercepting a passenger bus as they were going to Kishorganj from northeastern Sylhet. The two other HuJI operatives were identified as Mohammad Bahauddin, 22, and Yar Mohammad, 50. RAB officials said Yahiya fought in Afghanistan and also against Myanmar forces for the Arakan Muslims.
