Nagaland HMS extends support to Anna Hazare
Kohima: The Hindu Mandir Society (HMS) of Kohima on Thursday extended support to the mass-movement spearheaded by Gandhian Anna Hazare to check the rampant corruption.
A press release issued by Hindu Mandir Society Secretary Jagdamba Mall stated that corruption had engulfed the judiciary wherein even chief justices of various High Courts and former Chief Justices of India were allegedly involved in corruption.
The HMS said the Jan Lokpal Bill drafted by team-Anna, was capable of checking over 80 per cent of corruption, but Delhi was not prepared to accept it for obvious reasons. HMS appealed to the Government of India not to trample the civil liberty and citizen’s right.
The society also stated that the arrest of Anna Hazare and action taken against his followers was purely a mockery of democracy and that Central Government had acted as ‘dictator and autocrat.’
The HMS appealed to come forward in support of the mass movement led by Anna Hazare. (UNI)
