Lady Gaga taking surfing lessons

Mexico City: Pop star Lady Gaga is learning how to surf while holidaying in Mexico’s Puerto Vallarta. The 25-year-old is relaxing in the resort of Puerto Vallarta with friends while she takes a break from promoting her new single “You and I”. “For a relative beginner she took to surfing really well. She started quite slowly learning how to body-board and then she was able to work up to standing – she made excellent progress,” femalefirst.co.uk quoted a source as saying. “She has been very relaxed since she arrived at the resort and is looking to unwind from her punishing timetable on the road,” the source added. Beyonce ready to have kids

London: Singer Beyonce Knowles, who says she put all her “energy and drive” in making her career when she was younger, is now keen to focus on starting a family. The “Crazy in Love” hitmaker is married to rap mogul Jay-Z. “When you’re young – 18 or 19 – you have the energy and drive. That’s the time to work as hard as you can. Now I’m a woman, and because I gave it my all, I can focus on my marriage,” contactmusic.com quoted the 29-year-old as saying. “I can decide I want to have kids. Kim delays honeymoon plans

London: Reality TV star Kim Kardashian, who will marry rocker Kris Humphries Aug 20, won’t be able to go for honeymoon any time soon because of her busy work schedule. “With her work schedule it’s the earliest she can get away. Kris is not over the moon,” femalefirst.co.uk quoted a source as saying. The couple will tie the knot at a $20 million mansion in Santa Barbara, California, which is owned by former Google chief executive officer Eric Schmidt. (IANS)

Bieber gets his own road

London: Teen pop sensation Justin Bieber has landed a new honour – a street named after him in Texas. Caroline Gonzalez, an 11-year-old fan of the “Baby” hitmaker, won a contest named “mayor for a day” in Forney city, and her first executive decision was honouring the singer. Gonzalez renamed the area’s main street as “Justin Bieber Way”. “I really like Justin Bieber. I like his music and I like him. And I thought, why not have a street in my hometown named after my favourite singer?” she said. (IANS)

Daniel Craig is not a 3D fan

London: Bond actor Daniel Craig is glad his recent film, Cowboys & Aliens was not released in 3D because he is convinced traditional screening gives the film “a much richer feeling”. The 43-year-old actor, who stars in the new sci-fi Western is happy that director Jon Favreau is against the new technique. “It was a very deliberate decision and I’m glad we didn’t (use 3D). We’d still be shooting it apart from anything else. Classic westerns are 2D… so you can stretch the image right across the screen and it looks like it should do. “I think 3D works in animation and it gives me a headache to tell you the truth, I’m not a big fan of it.
