Kohima: Joint Labour Commissioner, Kohima, Yanger Aier said Nagaland Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) scheme has not been properly implemented in the state and people are still not conscious about it.

Addressing a function of ESIC and different benefits provided under ESI Act in Dimapur on Friday, Aier suggested that the ESIC officials should identify the reasons for poor functioning of scheme, which came into existence in 2008.

Aier also urged the employers to come forward and join the scheme so that it can be a success in Nagaland. (UNI)
