Buenos Aires: Popular Argentine television host Susana Gimenez, who was hospitalised for three days because of an intestinal obstruction, has now been sent home where she will continue her treatment, she told followers on her Twitter account.

“My dears I’m now at home luckily better thanks for so much love for so many prayers so much affection I looooove you susana” was the message she sent on the social network.

Nonetheless, her personal physician, Alfredo Cahe, told the showbiz Web site Teleshow that “she has not been completely discharged” because she will continue the treatment at home. As her condition was “evolving quite well” she was allowed to leave the hospital.

Gimenez, 67, was admitted to Los Arcos Hospital in the Buenos Aires district of Palermo last Tuesday, and while at first she was thought to be suffering from a hiatal hernia, medical tests showed that the problem was “a process of obstruction” in the small intestine.

The TV host has been substituted since Tuesday on “Hola Susana”, a show that airs in the US and several Latin American countries as well as Argentina, by host and producer Alejandro Wiebe, known by the stage name of “Marley”.

Marley has assured viewers that Gimenez’s illness was “nothing serious” and said she would not be away from the show for long. (IANS)
