New Delhi: Pakistan hockey captain Mohammad Imran feels that India will enjoy a competitive edge over arch-rival in the inaugural Asian Champions Trophy next month but said that building a balanced team for London Olympics is more important than defeating the neighbours.
“This Indian side is strong and experienced whereas we have almost new look team for the tournament. India may have an edge on the basis of experience but as far as we are concerned rather than defeating India, building a balanced team for London 2012 Olympics is more important for us,” Imran told PTI Bhasha from Islamabad.
“We don’t have Sohail Abbas in the team. On the other hand, Indian drag flicker Sandeep Singh is making a comeback who always does well against us. Pakistan has more junior players in the team and naturally there will be added pressure on them to perform against India. India may enjoy upper hand in this particular tournament,” said the drag flicker. (PTI)
