NONGSTOIN: The KSU Lai Hima Circle has condemned the rape of eleven year old maid servant by her master one, Welding Marwein of Wahriahniong village WKHD.
The heinous crime was committed during the absence of his wife who had gone to Shillong for pregnancy medical check up. The rapist threatened to kill the victim if she confessed the crime. The Union urged the police and district administration to take stern action against the culprit. It also expressed their concerned over the deteriorating law and order situation in the district.
West Khasi Hills district topped crime against women in the state while few years ago Jaintia hills topped the Union lamented.
