Platinum jubilee

The Khasi Jaintia National, Government Upper Primary School Jaiaw Pdeng will celebrate its Platinum Jubilee at Dinam Hall, Jaiaw at 11am on August 26 which will be inaugurated by Meghalaya Chief Secretary, WMS Pariat.

 Silver jubilee

The Mawlai Presbyterian Secondary School will inaugurate the Silver Jubilee Celebration on the school’s premises at 11am on Wednesday. Mawlai MLA, FS Cajee will be present as the chief guest on the occasion.

 Dead body

One Rijen Ryntathiang (60), a resident of Mawblei was admitted in Shillong Civil Hospital on July 31 and he expired on August 15 . The Hospital’s authority has asked the concerned relatives to collect the dead body from the morgue immediately or within a period of three days failing of which the dead body will be sent for disposal by the Shillong Municipal Board.

 Programme

The Zenith jubelieth Club of Laban will organise a special programme at U Soso Tham Auditorium at 5.30pm on August 28 wherein celebrity artists, Lopamudra Mitra from Kolkata and Pulak Banerjee from Guwahati would be performing.

 MPSC

Chief Minister, Mukul Sangma will lay the Foundation Stone of the Meghalaya Public Service Commission Office Building, Lower Lachumiere on August 26. The Foundation Stone laying ceremony will be held at 1pm.
