Sub-Treasury inaugurated

 TURA: The long awaited Sub Treasury Office in Dadenngre was formally inaugurated on Monday at the office of the Civil Sub-Division, Dadenggre by Chief Minister Mukul M Sangma.

Speaking at the occasion, Sangma welcomed the opportunities that the Treasury can provide for the region adding that the Treasury regulates and keeps the account of the financial transactions and data’s of the people.

He also said that they often think and talk about the difficulty that the common people face; and in order to resolve them different developmental schemes are being implemented regularly.

Referring to the Rongram- Dadenggre- Phulbari road, Sangma said that sanctions have already been to widen the road.

But, he also questioned the support of the locals and the nokmas within the region in providing enough space for the construction purposes. He urged the people to cooperate so that the construction could commence quickly. He informed that that already Rs. 6 Crore had been sanctioned last year for construction of road within Meghalaya. This also means that many new roads would be constructed soon across Meghalaya as per the PMGSY scheme. He also happily announced that PWD will soon be initiated in Dadenggre.
