Kohima rallies in support of Anna, submits memo to Prez

Kohima: People in Nagaland organised rallies in Dimapur and Kohima in support of Anna Hazare’ move to introduce Jana Lokpal Bill.

The Dimapur-based Co-ordination Committee of Civil Society on Wednesday submitted a memorandum supporting Anna Hazare and his Jan Lokpal Bill to the President of India through deputy commissioner of Dimapur.

Meanwhile, a rally, expressing solidarity with Anna Hazare’s ongoing agitation against corruption was organised last evening by Anna Hazare Support Committee in Kohima. A memorandum, in support of a strong Jan Lokpal Bill, addressed to the President of India, was submitted to Nagaland Governor Nikhil Kumar at Raj Bhavan by the committee. The memorandum said the crusade started by social activist Anna Hazare to eradicate corruption from this country had stirred the entire nation. (UNI)
