SHILLONG: Police on Friday finally traced the body of Mark Gautam Reddy Lynrah who had gone missing from Sohra since August 18.

The decomposed body of Mark (a pilot by profession) was recovered from a gorge near Sohra on Friday evening.

When contacted, Additional SP (Crime) Vivek Syiem said preliminary probe points the death as a suicide case. “A clear picture would be available only after the post mortem report is available,” Syiem added.

It may be noted that Mark, a relative of Freeman Sing Syiem, Syiem of Sohra, was spending his holidays at the house of the Syiem before he went missing on August 18.

Meanwhile, the body is being brought back to Shillong for the funeral to be held on Saturday.
