Kohima: Former NPCC president and sitting MLA K V Pusa has urged the student community to be fully prepared to pursuit the dreams of Naga people with the same will and determination. Speaking at the 15th Biennial General Conference of All Nagaland College Students Union at St Josephs college Jakhama, 15 km from here, Mr Pusa said the future of Naga society would depend on how society prepare the next generation, who would be taking over leadership of Naga people.

He said Nagas have come to a critical juncture in which the upcoming phase of transition would lift Nagas to their rightful destiny if they do well.

Naga generation must prepare to face the gigantic burden of shouldering the task ahead of them, he told the large gathering of Naga students on Friday evening.

The veteran Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee leader said the allegation of lopsided developmental activities and inequitable distribution of state resources, which has given rise to resentments, being interpreted to incite tribal animosity is not justifiable.

He said it was a fact that the development of areas and regions, which were lagging behind, should be brought top par with remedial programmes and schemes specifically designed for that purpose.

However, the tragedy is that Nagas have begun to see everything in the light of a tribal mindset. (UNI)
