Downey Jr to be father again
London: Actor Robert Downey Jr’s wife Susan Levin is pregnant with the couple’s first child. The couple, who have been married for six years, are set to welcome the new addition to their family in February. “I think it’s wonderful that she’s pregnant.The baby is due in February. Susan’s father, my brother, called me about three weeks ago with the good news. Her parents are over the moon about it,” contactmusic.com quoted Levin’s aunt Nancy Miller as saying. “It (doesn’t)really matter if it’s a boy or a girl. What really matters is that the baby is healthy,” Miller added. Downey Jr. already has a son Indio,18, from his first marriage to actress-singer Deborah Falconer. (IANS)
Weisz, Craig may try for a baby
London: Actress Rachel Weisz, who tied the knot with James Bond actor Daniel Craig in a surprise low-key ceremony, says they may try for another baby in near future. The 41-year-old already has a five-year-old son with former partner Darren Aronofsky. “Oh, I wouldn’t make [a baby] just for the sake of giving my son a sibling. But … You never know,” contactmusic.com quoted her as saying. Craig, 43, also has a 19-year-old daughter with his ex-wife, actress Fiona Loudon. Perry to don Mercury look for charity
London: Singer Katy Perry will reportedly dress up like her idol Freddie Mercury to raise money for the late star’s charity. Contactmusic.com reports that the fans of Mercury are expected to don replicas of the Queen star’s flamboyant stage outfits at a hotel here, Monday to mark his 65th birthday. While, Perry who has long cited the rocker as the biggest influence on her musical career will be seen wearing a moustache, cropped wig and bright yellow jacket to promote the Freddie For A Day campaign, which is raising money for the AIDS charity the Mercury Phoenix Trust. Mercury, died at the age of 45, in 1991 due to bronchial pneumonia resulting from AIDS. (IANS)
Stone, Wilde honoured by PETA
London: Actresses Emma Stone and Olivia Wilde have been awarded leading animal rights honours for helping to highlight cruelty-free cosmetics. The effort of the actresses has stood out after they worked towards their recent association with cosmetics firm Revlon. They have been bestowed with Kind Choices Awards by the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). “Emma, Olivia, and Revlon have our thanks for encouraging millions of fashion-forward young women to choose make-up that’s luxurious, not lethal. Cruelty-free companies such as Revlon make it easy for all of us to get a glamorous look without harming a hair on a bunny’s head,” contactmusic.com quoted Kathy Guillermo, vice president of laboratory investigations PETA.
