One shot dead in Nagaland

Kohima: unidentified gunmen shot dead one person was in Jalukielo village in Peren district on Friday, who was identified as one Lohrii Pou of Jalukielo village, about 65 years of age, and a widower. According to sources here today Pou was shot five times, in what is said to be an ambush, while he was on way to work in his field. President of the Zeliangrong Baudi of Nagaland K Akhang informed that Peren district’s administrative and police officials as well as civil organizations were present.

He the victim was a widower, a farmer and is survived by three sons. ” About the motive (of the killing), we do not know; but he was ambushed, ” Akhang said. (UNI)

He cited general reports that the victims were waylaid by four to five persons and shot five times as shells indicated. The Zeliangrong Baudi has denounced the killing.
