Shillong: A highly placed police source has confirmed that HNLC C-in-C Bobby Marwein was injured in a gang war shoot-out and got a bullet in his stomach which is yet to be removed. He was shifted from one hospital to another somewhere between Maulvi Bazar and Chittagong. The source was categorical that Bobby Marwein is not dead.

“If Bobby Marwein had been dead his family members would not have remained silent but would have sought permission to complete his last rites. The source also claims that Marwein is now living with another woman in Bangladesh and that she is actually attending on him at this point.

Earlier, the HNLC had strongly refuted the reports of the death of its “commander-in-chief” which had appeared in a section of the media, stating the reports as false and unfounded and intended to mislead the public.

HNLC ‘publicity secretary’ Sainkupar Nongtraw claimed in a statement recently that Marwein was fine, secure, healthy and unharmed.

He also denied the report that Marwein was involved in any brawl in Bangladesh.

The GNLA had also denied the death of the HNLC commander-in-chief.
