Kohima: The Nagaland Cabinet of Ministers has approved the regularisation of services of 1729 Ad-hoc teachers as a step to fulfill its commitment made earlier.

According to official sources here on Thursday, the Cabinet met at the Secretariat on Wednesday, which has approved the creation of 110 teachers posts in the School Education Department.

The Cabinet’s decision comes close on the heels of a resolution adopted at a recent meeting of the ruling Naga People’s Front (NPF) legislators with officials of the School Education Department, wherein the department was given a deadline till November 30, 2011 to clear up the teachers’ appointment mess.
