345 feared dead in Tanzania boat accident

Zanzibar (Tanzania): At least 345 people were feared drowned when a ship capsized near Zanzibar, Tanzania, Xinhua reported Saturday.

The vessel was travelling from Zanzibar to Pemba Island. Over 600 people were on board. An official said 250 people were rescued. The cause of the accident was not immediately known. (IANS)
