‘Nitish govt under ‘neck deep‘ of corruption’

Hajipur: Lok Janshakti Party president Ram Vilas Paswan today alleged that the Nitish Kumar government was under neck deep of corruption and scams involving siphoning of more than 57,000 crores had been exposed during the regime of present dispensation. Paswan told mediapersons here that Comptroller and Auditor General of India in its report on Bihar for the financial year 2009-10 had indicated that the Nitish Kumar government had failed to submit the detailed contingency bills against the withdrawal of about Rs 57,000 crores on the basis of advance contingency bills for execution of various development and welfare schemes till the end of financial year 2009-10. Similarly, excise scame and Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority land allotment scame involving the misappropriation of more than Rs 1,000 Crores also came to light but the Nitish Kumar government succeeded in suppressing the matter using its influence, he said adding that in such prevailing scenario, how Nitish Kumar could claim about providing good governance to Bihar.
